The Leather: Olbrish works only with leather hides from cows of southern Germany, some of the best quality napa leather worldwide. It is solidly dyed, soft, supple with a velvet surface and still very robust for wear and tear. It is light resistant, colorfast and water resistant with a natural porous surface. The leathers are tanned in Germany in a closed cycle production system according to the high technical and environmental standards of Germany and respectively, the European Union.
The Metal: Olbrish fittings are mostly made of brass, plated with rhodium or palladium, expensive, but high-quality metals from the platinum group. The fittings have a surface stability and durability for wear and tear, while at the same time attaining a warm, yet clear silvery tone that compliments the colors of their leather.
